Biography James M. Large, Jr., is the acting president of the Wildlife Conservation Society, where he has also served as a member of the Board, Vice Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee, and member of the Audit, Human Resources, and Budget committees. Mr. Large is also Chairman Emeritus of Dime Bancorp, Inc., a position he assumed after retiring as chairman and CEO of the bank. In addition to a long, distinguished career in banking, Mr. Large plays a strong role in the strategic efforts of several other charitable organizations, including The Nature Conservancy of Long Island, where in 1998 he served as acting executive director. Mr. Large is a graduate of Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, and of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking of Rutgers University.
