Small Matters: Microbes and Their Role in Conservation
The Center for Biodiversity and Conservation's Twelfth Annual Symposium
at the American Museum of Natural History
April 26 and 27, 2007

SYMPOSIUM PROGRAM

Through a series of keynote addresses, plenary presentations, and panel discussions, some 35 presenters provided an assessment of the extensive diversity of microorganisms that exists, their roles in ecological processes, their interdependence, and their effect on the planet, the impact of human disturbance, and how microbes can and should be incorporated into conservation biology.

The Symposium's printed program, which was distributed to attendees, contained an introduction, agenda, speaker abstracts, background on the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation, and a list of the symposium's Steering Committee and Content Advisors.
